The British Forces Foundation was founded to boost the morale of thousands of British Servicemen and women serving on peacekeeping or national tasks across the world. This foundation aims to promote the efficiency of the Armed Forces and their ever-increasing commitments overseas. This unfortunately means Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen can expect long periods of time away from their friends and families and this is why it is so important to maintain their morale. A unique fushion of showbusiness and top class performers will go around the world entertaining our troops, as well as support existing organisations to to provide the much needed entertainment.
At Heirlooms, we are always keen to assist charities and foundations and unquestionably, are thrilled to be able to support the men and women on the front line by raising the funds to offer them entertainment that helps to maintain their morale. So when Katharine Pooley, Trustee of the foundation, approached us to be a part of the BFF 21st Anniversary Ball we were more than delighted to be able to assist. As part of the Anniversary Ball alongside a fantastic line up of entertainment including Katherine Jenkins OBE (BFF Trustee), James Morrison, Rebecca Ferguson etc was the ever popular Charity Auction. Heirlooms donated a full set of luxury cotton sateen bed linens in a choice of styles for the winner. We were so pleased to hear that the evening was a success and raised the much needed funds.
“Thank you so very much for your incredibly kind and generous donation to The British Forces Foundation. We are so grateful for your support. The evening was a huge success. We couldn’t have achieved this without your help. Unquestionably, the success of the evening will allow us to continue to support the men and women on the front line and convey in the most powerful terms the appreciation they enjoy from the British public.
We are so appreciative and grateful for your support towards this wonderful cause, thank you again.” – Katharine Pooley
