Downton Abbey began as a British historical drama television series set in the early 20th century. Following the series, the original cast continue the story line with a film released in 2019. The film, set in 1927, depicts a visit by the King and Queen to the Crawley family's English country house in the Yorkshire countryside. Heirlooms had the pleasure to supply the linens for both the Downton Abbey series and film. The experience brought back memories of Heirlooms humble beginnings as we indulged in decorative lace which was a popular look in the 80's.
