Royal Warrant Holders Association AGM 2015

Heirlooms were delighted to attend the Royal Warrant Holders Association AGM at St James’s Palace, London on Friday 27^th March. Companies within the association range from multinationals such Jaguar, Nestle and Heinz to cottage industries with unique crafts people and skills such as stonecutting, leather cutting and brewing.

There can be few grander settings than this for an AGM and it was a pleasure to meet with fellow Royal Warrant holders and discuss our respective business activities.

Education, Sustainability and the Environment featured heavily in the discussions along with how we, as Royal Warrant Companies, can assist with the plugging the skills gaps in bringing apprentices into businesses to learn from the many skills and crafts available. Once such programme is QEST, the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust which was set up as a gift for the Queen Mother on her 90^th Birthday by the RWHA. 25 years later QEST has supported and nurtured 354 craftspeople in over 130 skills sectors providing organisations with the best of British craftsmanship.

All in all it was an exciting day and we are delighted to continue our support of the wonderful activities undertaken as part of our special Association.
